I was given a tin of Bisley pest control pellets with my new HW95. After getting used to the rifle the groups were tighter than I needed so I stuck with these pellets because thay do the job!

I got a tin of these pellets with my air rifle and I decided to stick with them rather than trying different makes.For pest control they definitely do the job quickly and efficiently and they seem quite accurate.

From a .22 airrifle* these are seriously effective especially against grey squirrels. So much so that I no longer carry a sub 6ft.lb. pistol for the occasional dispatch.Accuracy at 25 metres is on a par with a standard field or hunter pellet. Less so at 50 metres but equally as effective.They are a snug fit; anyone familiar with their rifle will feel the subtle difference when loading. Also the slight but noticeable change in muzzle report on exit.*Id advise against using these in a sub 6ft.lb. pistol. At 18.8 grains they are considerably heavier than the 16 grains recommended for pistols and given the snug fit mentioned above may give trouble when loading or worse result in misfire or jam.

Looking for a hollow point for pest control I simulated a head shot by attaching the metal lid from a jam jar to a 2.5 gallon container filled with water (the lid was there to substitute for a rats skull). Target was placed at a distance of approximately 15 metres and the gun was Umarex 850 Magnum rated at 11.4 ft.lb. Id already checked for accuracy and consistency against two other hollow points and was down to two with very similar results. The Bisley Pest Control came out top for me. The pellet was very nearly pancake flat when retrieved indicating good transfer of energy to the target and giving better likelihood of a clean humane kill. The pellets look consistently well made with virtually none distorted in the tin I managed <5/8 inch c2c at 15 metres in a rushed session with a fairly fresh wind. Im very pleased with these and see myself using them as my goto for pest control.

Read the great reviews, bought some. Probably do a lot of damage if you could actually hit the target, not for use after 20 m. Tested in fx verminator, gladiator, air ranger, r10, theoben mk1 and 2, around 3.5 inch spread at 25m. Found that verminpell was more on the ball with a 1 inch spread at 25m which did suprise me.

I have tried nearly all brands of pellet, all different weights shapes and sizes. The Bisley brand is my favourite and I will stick with them all that I shoot when hunting, especially these hollow points through my ultra and at ranges of 40 - 50 yards at most. Absolutely spoy on stone dead accurate and the weight just marvelous.

I've tried hollow points from a lot of other manufacturers but none come close to the Bisley Pest Control for accuracy and sheer take down power. The only hollow point I'd ever use or recommend to others. Awesome pellet.

One of the best hollow points, the shape and the weight makes it very suitable for hunting up to 40 yards and it is very accurate as well... try it, you will not regret it.
