Zamberlan 1006 Vioz Plus WIDE LAST GTX RR Walking Boots. Trekking boots ideal for backpacking on challenging terrains. These trekking boots are also suitable for hunting and have a "wide last" that ensures better comfort and room on the front part of the foot. The upper is made of full grain waxed leather with Hydrobloc® treatment and ensures softness and waterproofness, a characteristic which is enhanced by the GORE-TEX Performance Comfort lining. The GORE-TEX 1006 VIOZ PLUS GTX RR WL trekking boots guarantee excellent breathability. These wide trekking boots are equipped with FLEX SYSTEM junction at the ankle to help toe off while hiking and with a rubber rand for better protection. The Zamberlan® Vibram® Darwin outsole provides traction and cushioning.

High quality boots pricey but you get what you pay for. This is at least my fourth pair of Zamberlan boots (Ive actually lost count!). The wide last makes a big difference for my walking experience. I wouldnt buy any other make now.

Would be brilliant boots with a harder wearing sole. These boots have an excellent fit and a high quality upper but are let down by the soles which are far too soft and wear out far too quickly. The heels have started to disintegrate. Replacing with a pair of ZAMBERLAN VIOZ GTX

Third pair of Zamberlans Ive had last ones lasted 8 years until one sole wore through and the price of fixing it wasnt far off the cost of these new.

These boots have an excellent fit and a high quality upper but are let down by the poor quality of the sole unit. The rubber is too soft and wears out far too quickly. Within a year of normal use, lumps have also fallen off the sole. IMHO it is a misrepresentation that the Vibram® 3D sole has "exceptional ... wear resistance" - as others have observed, it doesn't! The Vibram Darwin sole on the Zamberlan Vioz Plus GTX RR with the rubber rand has a much better more hard-wearing sole.

Just got my pair bang on time less than 2 days after ordering. A perfect fit, and as a veteran of the Vioz 996 (the front of the sole eventually detached after nearly 4,000 miles of long-distance trail and fell walking) I'm confident these will serve me well. Tough and supremely comfortable. The substantial rubber rand should hopefully take these ones even further. I'm sure Uttings have a great aftercare service but with Zamberlans I'm pretty sure I'll never need to find out!

Good and comfortable boot ,not quite as expected though as the colour not as described~i would say chocolate and not chestnut,The sole is also different and the third eye down only has a single rivet ~not double as pictured,Picture should really be updated.I normally wear uk size 9 so the euro 44 fitted fine with medium thick socks.All in all a nice boot but just slightly dissapointed.

Great boots! Back in Zamberlans after 2 pairs of Scarpa that each lasted less than 2 years after the leather uppers cracked despite regular cleaning and care. Had these for 2 and a half years, daily wear doing around 5-8 miles dog walking on the South Downs. With regular Hydrobloc care hoping these will last the 10%2B years my last Zamberlans did.

Still the best boot on the market. I am back to Zamberlan after being disapointed by the other brands after 10-15 years. Wore these 3 days in a row, all day, straight out of the box, nothing but blissful comfort - good long socks helped as well. Outings were superb, good communication, delivery and advice. I will be using Outings again as they obviously know their stuff unlike the kids in the usual omni-outlets, but dont think I will need a new pair of boots for a long time!

Excellent service from Uttings. My old Zamberlans were 20 years old and the soles failed recently. Initially ordered the 996 Vioz GT but these were out of stock and having waited almost a month I contacted the sales dept who kindly agreed to supply a pair of 1006 Vioz Plus GT RR for the same price. Absolutely agree with other customers' recomendation to order a size up from your usual shoe size- fit is very good and comfortable.
