I only received the reel days ago and havent used it yet. It will be used for spinning and using lures in the sea. I already use a Penn Spinfisher 4500 which I bought 35 years ago and which has served me well. Im sure that the 3500 will be even better than the old one. The only other comment I can make is that the line lay is an improvement on my original model and I expect it to be a superior casting reel. Having said that the old one caught some memorable fish all over the world and was never found wanting.
