I wasnt sure if this was a snake oil thing (sorry) but a local gun shop recommended a bore snake. I opted for the Viper because of the extra phosphor bronze (3 rows) really impressed with the cleaning power and finish barrels were sparkling after 1 pull but did another for luck. Cheaper version on a wellknown web provider but reviews said the items werent originals (which reviewers said were better and lasted longer) so went for the real thing. Will still use rods occasionally as Im wondering if the chamber will need amore attention (but it hasnt yet). Yet to wash it but quality looks good.
